Thanksgiving the National Pigout
Flackmoth doesn’t think much of Thanksgiving;
too much of an expense to his thinking.
And besides, turkey never did excite
his preferred beer and pizza appetite,
much less all those other additions
traditionally known as “all the “fixins”
like turnip, yams, and jellied cranberry,
green beans, mashed potatoes, and giblet gravy,
all in such quantity the fare could feed
a Third World neighborhood in dire need.
And then, if room to spare, all the sweet stuff,
like pies – apple, blueberry, pumpkin and other filling
like pecan, chocolate, and mincemeat – enough
to triple one’s weight at one sitting!
