Tea Tired

The tea leaves tell me nothing Just scattered debris for distraction Maybe answers are the myth Truth surely resides somewhere I'm thinking too big, the fault is my flaws Do I claw out my eyes or brain to adjust Scratch out parts of the equation To simplify the question Question Quest Q Ahh diminishing to the meaningless I'm too tired for logic As I lay in discomfort Does anything make sense If I don't change anything, nothing changes Maybe one variable at a time Or maybe truth isn't forward But the answer is past Hidden within a moment on an uneventful day Where I was defined Then we tread water until plucked out of this place Strangely Q Though unquestlike Not question but questswim I may be delirious I'll have a cup of tea

Challenging poem DD...takes the mind into uncharted territory...strange sense that this world is vaguely familiar. Like you, I'll have a cup of tea and recover. Like this poem, imaginatively edgy.

Thanks Paul, I sometimes manage to write these just before sleep when I'm tired enough to ponder anything but just about awake enough to write it down. I quite like the poems that would never be a conversation but somehow still have a place because poetry exists. Thank you for your comment, always delighted to see you x

Or perhaps it's just a storm in a teacup? 'If I don't change anything, nothing changes.' I've learned long ago that one can't change the world, because it doesn't want to change. Have great weekend, DD :)

I like this, the way it starts with tea and ends with tea. The confusion on a bad day seems to have hope in a calming tea. I believe chamomile is said to calm. The type was never mentioned. Whichever, it will give you a moment to relax.

It can be really difficult to put our finger on a defining moment in life Dilly, especially when there are no immediate life changing effects, although I do believe one seemingly insignificant event can cause a chain reaction that becomes catastrophic over time, the answer is somewhere in the past, certainly not in your tea leaves, so go enjoy that cuppa, I enjoyed reading this one over a coffee, lol! cheers David
