I have a pond in my garden where water lilies bloom. Under their leaves, frogs hide. At certain seasons, my pond will be fructified by innumerable tadpoles ! Good haiku, dear Bill

Thanks for looking back through some older poems, Valsa. I'd like to have a pond, we've thought about making one. Thanks for the comment. Have a joyful day, my dear friend. Bill

They let us know life goes on. They were more interesting as a kid, but my grandkids still like to watch them, so I do too. I'll be visiting and reading some of your poems when I finish responding to comments. Bill

Welcome into the world of bugs you little frogs. I wonder how many make it to adulthood. My husband said there was a garter snake in the garden the other day with the back end of frog hanging out its mouth. I enjoyed reading this one. Sara

Not many, those garter snakes do like to eat frogs. Gardens are a pleasure in the springtime, glad you have one. Hugs, Bill

You are literally a man on a mission. No forgiveness needed. Thanks for being mindful enough to mention it though. Praying for you and those you minister to, my friend. God bless and keep you, until His return. Bill

Reading your poem reminds me of summer days standing beside a stream and watching the tadpoles...I was fascinated.

I always like to see them, something about new life forming. Plus, they were in water to splash in. More fun!

Why? I don't know. But thought of 'Islands in the Stream,' (Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton), right away. Maybe I'm a 'tad' off. :) gw

Well-crafted haiku, Bill, this is fascinating. I'm interested to see how many of the tadpoles make it to adulthood and turn into frogs.

Not many. Fish eat tadpoles. Food chain and all that.

I like this one very much, Bill. I wonder how many of the tadpoles actually live to become frogs? It seems like (from my pond experience) there were vastly more tadpoles than we had frogs!
