Sun-Drunk Cicada Song
The golden haze of summer, thick and slow,
Where time dissolves like honey in warm tea,
And fireflies ignite a gentle glow.
The air, a velvet cloak, starts to flow free,
Through sun warmed fields, a gentle choir,
Where time dissolves like honey in warm tea,
A drowsy heat, where colors grow like fire,
Like painted dreams, upon a canvas clear,
Through sun warmed fields, a gentle choir.
Cicada's drone, a rhythmic call to hear,
A pulsing beat for all the world to watch,
Like painted dreams upon a canvas clear.
The days stretch out where whispered breezes march,
A sweet surrender, sereneness so wild,
A pulsing beat for all the world to watch.
The evening falls, an amber throw so mild,
A sweet surrender, sereneness so wild,
The golden haze of summer, thick and slow,
And fireflies ignite, a gentle glow.
