Enjoyed reading this Haiku today. We have had a nice late summer shower today and as far as I know no lightning and thunder. Thanks for sharing and for stopping by my blog. Sara

Thank you for the visit, Sara. We got 2 inches of rain last night. Yeah! A long hot summer here in Texas. Bill

You construct a vivid picture of the storm using the words you chose for the weathered canvas. I am aware, Bill, that this Haiku can be interpreted in a few diverse situations.

Yes, with metaphors this could become a lot more if written in a longer form of poetry. Thanks for the observation, my friend. Bill

I agree, Andrea. Stormy weather gives me a good feeling at times, especilly the heavy rain part: I love the sound of rain. Hugs, my friend. Bill

Hi Bill, I love nothing more than the excitement of watching a storm. You paint the storm so well through your storm palette words. I know this piece can be taken several ways, Bill. I like to see it as a great storm and then, using metaphor, see it as the great storm that is coming to the world, not just America. Wonderful write, my friend. I take it as nature and so I give it a most wonderful, electrical fave. Have a wonderful Saturday. Your Friend ..... Mike.

I was thinking both ways, but wrote it as it applies to nature so it was a Haiku and not a Senryu. lol I think you may have me figured out already. :-) Write On! my friend. Bill

From what I read in the newspapers and watch on TV this excellent Haiku may very well apply to USA Today, dearest Bill! God save America!

Definately does, Demetrios. Such a mess, politically here in America. If we don't turn to God, we may pay a heavy price soon. Thanks for commenting my friend. Smiles ~ Blessings Bill

I prefer to look at these three lines as a metaphor, rather than as a visual offering, Bill. Either way, both are in need of a serene outcome. Regards // paul

Good point, Paul, I agree in both cases my friend. Our world needs a change in the right direction. Thanks for commenting, Bill

I know this haiku is supposed to be about nature, but I can't help but wonder if storm clouds aren't also brewing in our country...I hear the rolling thunder of division and dissonance. Makes me wonder what storms we may have to endure.
