Zeno of Citium—considered the founder of Stoicism

the external things cannot disturb inner peace only judgment can man master of self eudaimonia is goal live virtuously
Stoicism is a school of Hellenistic philosophy that flourished in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. The Stoics believed that the practice of virtue is enough to achieve eudaimonia: a well-lived, flourishing life. The Stoics identified the path to achieving it with a life spent practicing certain virtues in everyday life such as courage, temperance, and living in accordance with nature. You've poetically described this belief system well. It is opposed to the notion of needing a savior, ie, Jesus. When you think about it, it's interesting how many religions, philosophies, belief systems have existed in the world.

Ah dear beautiful sara, as always we are connected and you weave exactly my thoughts, I’ve been lately learning more about stoicism and how to really use stoicism in everyday life. As most of their beliefs really coincide with me too. Like being grateful and kind to not just others but to ones own self etc. I think it also plays an important role in acceptance and forgiveness something I strongly believe too . Love this insightful poem deep soul. You amaze me always. Sending you ligh, FAVE

dearest Ink--Your words touched me deeply. Over the years I've incorporated many of Stoicism's beliefs into my daily life. I agree, acceptance, forgiveness, and love of one's self is paramount. I erroneously once believed self love was egotistic. It can be when taken to an extreme. I'm grateful you found my poem insightful. Thanks for the fave. Your visits & words are always filled with your light. Have a splendid day, Sara

Well done my friend. What many say tediously about stoicism, you have explained in very few words. Your explanation is lucid and matter of fact. If it is for the contest by Sotto poet, all the Best!
