Still Life with Pearls Lichtenstein

you can see anything you want to in it's hazy lustre that is the real gift all irritants made good it is so valuable to me like promises placed aside glossed over all too perfect I suppose you/I just got used to it the in-situ grit with the art of necessity made beautiful each piece of wisdom wrapped forgotten about over and over and over until you can string it all together call it a life because work went into it did I tell you I own that representation of beauty? yes, I know how lucky I am...

From out of the haze come your pearls of poetic understanding, DD. Wonderful metaphoric poem. Congratulations on your win! Loved seeing your note to Brian thanking him for encouraging you to write ekphrasis - truly your ever emerging pearl from your poetic oyster to all of us who love your ekphrasis as you see life from art! Blessings!

Hi DD! Was wondering if you saw Constance' contest using "e" forms of poetry. There is quote that is a basis for an entry that I thought you could use with an ekpharsis poem. Constance' contests might be a wonderful place for your ekphrasis! Blessings.

Many thanks Sam - I will be a bit lost with ekphrasis now as Brian's was my main place to send them. Thank you for your comment, appreciated
