Snatched energy

Affected. Somehow my hair stayed wet. And I thought of upside down merry go rounds. Never raised up, but pulled away. I let my vision blur, then can't bring it back. What would be a reverse cuckoo? Ptyalizing as if pre-empting a need to vomit. Perhaps swallowing emotions is hard... I felt my throat strain. My eyes should rain instead. Allow emotion out. There is no bounce in my tendons. So I can't merry go round no more. But to be rooted... No. What is this increased gravity!? My shoulders slump. My jaw welded shut. My head might well hit the deck. Fall through. And sink. To where eyes glaze over and pockets of air are scarce... If I am all wrong - Then don't.

deep, introspective - gravity is as mutable as it is unpredictable

Ookcuc? Merry-go-rounds make a lot of people dizzy, and they do fall when ot stops. I enjoyed the disconnection and puzzle of this poem.

An ookcuc sounds incredibly uncomfortable - perhaps there's nothing good happening in reverse cuckoo land and they are better unimagined as quick as I imagined them! Thanks for your comment, appreciated x

One certainly gets that sinking feeling personified reading this one Dilly, some super original lines, what would be a reverse cuckoo? so many things spring to mind here, also that nauseating feeling (ptyalizing), you have a way with words even when on a downer, cheers David

Thanks David, my wish was to write it down and forget about it. I'm not quite sure what a reverse cuckoo is but it's a ponderable idea for sure... I appreciate your comment, thank you
