Sleepwalking

The lightless night began as I fled for sanity, As I searched for clarity. How strange it is that my hope contains the least sincerity. That my dreams have been washed away by storm. Yet in this storm, my heart has grown. In hatred I have transformed. I am stronger. Yet as the night began, I was weak. Soon my weakness turned to strength. I watched as every piece of my broken heart, Mended, then fell apart. As the night continued, I mourned the death of my soul, The beauty she could once hold, Was washed by truth, collected by earth. This is my stolen youth. When life longs for death, And truth longs for lies, Beauty is forced to hide. Hearts are called to ache. I am stronger. I am awake. This is a new life, My heart will heal, not break.. Yet through the night I feel, I break myself only to heal. Yet again, break myself only to conceal. I was once broken. I am stronger now I scream. This night is filled with dreams! In pain there is beauty unseen. You are alive, you have survived. Breathe. You see pain but know not what lay beneath. You see today but are blind to tomorrow. You are blind to happiness beneath sorrow. I am stronger. I see light. For in this night I have seen pain. Yet in morning I see the monster I have slain. I am stronger. This is a new life, For as I open my eyes, I see the sunrise. I refuse heartache. I am stronger. I am awake. Morning has come.
