Shooting Stars - Bill FrymireBill Frymire

The brightest star up in the sky, your blazing entry caught my eye. You gave your all to be so bright, to streak across the sky tonight. Your light is bright from head to tail, and you can grant wishes as well. You must wonder as you fly by, if I’m the answer to your why. Drawn here tonight I guess for you, to share this moment just us two. Both of us had a need to know, Now on our way we both must go. Another day we’ll meet again, I think our souls must be akin.

My husband, daughter and I all saw a shooting star the other night as we rounded a bend in the road. It was a rare delight to have all witnessed it at the same time, and it was a blessing for all of us. It too was brilliant. I love the night sky, it is so incredibly beautiful any time, but to witness a shooting star is simply icing on the cake!

shooting stars, although rare, are a joy to watch. Your poem captured their magnificence and the role each of us play with things in nature...being one. You are my shooting star, hubby. Thanks for sharing your creative talent and beautiful words in this Sonnet!!! hugs, me

Dear Bill, a stunning picture to go with a stunning sonnet. What a delightful read my lovely, poetic friend. Enchanting. Your imagery is so vivid that you can picture the magical sky above. I too, like many, love the night sky - so tranquil, heavenly. The ending couplet is gorgeous’ I think our souls must be akin’. What a wonderful line. What a treat to read and enjoy. Thank you. Hugs to you :):)

This is absolutely stunning! I am one of them stargazers, i love when the sky is scattered with stars, and i often catch them shooting jewels, and think to my self should i make a wish or just admire in awe! Ah i really love the word flow of this! So smooth and beautiful! And i also love the way you’ve written “You must wonder as you fly by,if I’m the answer to your why.” Thats really creative and imaginative! Magical poem this is! And that last line! Whoa! Pleasure reading!
