The parties Gina plans for Halloween,
just for adults, are always a success.
The games aren’t evil, raunchy, or obscene,
just entertaining. Plus, guests get to dress
in costumes. Gina’s parties cure their stress.
Her brother Jerry called her. “Sis,” he said,
“This time please let me plan and decorate.”
She wrung her hands and felt a sense of dread.
The party plans would meet a dismal fate.
Bad choices, for her brother, were innate!
Recalling he once showed up Christmas Eve
dressed as a Viking helped her find her voice:
“I need a bag of spiders. I believe
that’s all." He was elated with that choice.
Relieved, she took a moment to rejoice.
That night he entered with a bag that seemed
alive. It wiggled, causing great dismay.
He emptied it and everybody screamed.
Chaos erupted, massive disarray.
Before their bugged eyes, fifty spiders lay.
“REAL spiders?!” Gina yelled. “Are you insane?”
“You said to bring ‘em in a bag or sack!”
“I meant the plastic ones!” She feared her brain
would blow up. In just five days he was back
on her good side, but he’d caught well-earned flak.
