Safe Space
Have you ever met
Those people
That are just a safe space
Their very presence
Soothes you
When you feel out of place
They are unhurried
When the World
Seemingly swirls at pace
As pressure defuses
Your ears hear the quiet
Picked up, protected, saved from the riot
Skin no longer tingles
The static resolves
Tension decreases, ceases, dissolves
I am heard, I am seen
In this gentle safe space
Most tender members of the human race
