Nature Contest

focus closely on the natural world greet morning daisies as they stretch and unfurl they appreciate the day no matter what focussing on flowers I could learn a lot rose petals lay strewn all around beauty from bud until meet the ground life middle to end still holds wonder something worth taking the time to ponder cherry blossom are my favourite bloom abundant and vibrant, then gone too soon tree mostly rests between wondrous display rarely dressed up though does not take beauty away keenest eye required for orchid amid grass so easy to miss and completely walk past sit and study this intricate rare find lessons aplenty, gifted flower to mind

This poem is quite different from your usual writings. You show that you are capable of watching the tiniest forms of nature. Here more than your abstract and cognitive broodings, I see the stance of a true nature lover. Cherry blossoms are a lovely sight though I have seen them only in pictures. All the Best dear DD

Thank you Valsa - cherry blossoms are incredibly beautiful, they line several streets near where I live. Sometimes it might only be a day of beauty if there's heavy rain for one tree, but luckily there's a few varieties spreading the season across a few weeks x

Do we give nature enough time to take in its true splendour, well you certainly do in this rare beauty, I always said you see and capture the tiniest of details, wonderfully penned and recited, I have a love/hate relationship with the cherry blossom overhanging my driveway lol! Cheers David

Good to see you back David :D I think even scattered cherry blossom is beautiful as you know moments before it was all falling. Although I did once shake the branches so the children could dance under it and shook a few bugs on their heads :)

yes, flowering cherries are so beautiful, but gone too soon..i love that last line; your closing lines are usually strong..you have a very soothing voice! :)
