Myth and Menagerie

Channels and only children choose the spectrum
of sight carried by the drought of love
in the morning leaving before breakfast

Always moving in high decibels to recover
and revive the remains of the day
by just adding water to their wine

Above the breast and tempting tension
the fate of the wicked is enshrined by
experience in an environment of excitement

Still time will not hide away the pain
bought on store credit as we live
and die by the light we leave lit

This is a nice thought of myth and menagerie
dimmed by the lampshade
holding the inspiration hostage

uhm ... reads like a bunch of non sense mister swartz ... for love be ... be for love ... worded hammer needs no instruction ... there is no light darkness can't see ... darkness is the cowards we shake from my sleeves ... carried by a verbal cyber spiraling disease ... with outh the rhyme who needs reason ... my reason ... our reason ... is beyond your minds ... love could never be captured ... essence escaped only by the hollow laughter of hatred ... how far in the hollows is an explanation. ?

Well my poetry isn't for everyone especially those who don't like to think. Next time though just say you don't like it without wasting space in the comment section with your own nonsense.

Such depth of thought and complexity of expression this cerebral poem be, James. The levels of comprehension are amazing. What a beautiful mind you have. Ty for sharing such elevated existential wisdom w/the lowly. This magnificent poem freed my captive inspiration. Hmmm ... wonder where my muse flew off too now? Lol! This is a great poem, my dear friend. Supernova bright write. An instant classic fave for sure. Love and joy always.

To hold inspiration hostage is my constant minds torment. I loved reading this and feel inspired to not let the dimming of light take away from the enlightenment of words. Great poem James!

Thank you Kristina! I think inspiration comes naturally to you. The hard part is not tormenting ourselves for no reason. You understood the subtlety in the choice of my words. Thank you.

Deep stuff, if only everyone had the innocence of a child, what a wonderful world it would be...

Thank you Arthur! I tend to over think life as it is so I like to make those around me think too.
