“Awe, Ella,” She’d say. High-pitched Eyes wide In that special Kind of way When she was Excited or surprised As we chuckle “Ooh,” She’d say. Hand over chest With every Jump scare Horror movie galore Tears streaming As we Laugh in response “How’s your family,” She’d ask. Genuinely concerned For the well-being of Others, yet not Expecting anything In return A pure heart Of gold Holidays, birthdays, Every special event Mouth open Capturing moments With every single bite This woman, the One I truly adored Was my Granny The same woman Who helped in Giving me life, Who actually cared Who I enjoyed spending Quality time with She was an Outstanding grandmother Sweet, amazing, And One of a kind A woman who Held a piece Of my heart, A woman who… I simply Miss

your poem touched my heart. I was very much attached to my Granny. She was so affectionate and cared for me in my childhood. Now I am too attached to my Granddaughter. Blessings.
