My Five New Year Resolutions

TO BE MORE AUTHENTIC because sometimes I don't say And then it just eats away Sometimes I might resent them for it Or maybe even ignore them for it So next year I'll just try to deal with it. TO GIVE MORE OF MY TIME When I see a familiar face won't rush off with such haste remind myself to give another minute To make more small talk Be more approachable, and slower in my walk TO BE MORE ENCOURAGING Give a friendly smile Maybe sit down, and talk for a little while. GIVING MORE COMPLIMENTS Won't shy away from feeling And show more sentiment. TO MAKE MORE TIME FOR ME By creating something with my hands Or supporting another with their plans More sunny walks with my pooch Or Delighting in a romcom smooch. 11/12/21 my five new year resolutions.
