The call and response I have with a muse Is playing with my mind and I'm confused Thinking of ghosts whispering in my ear Then all the whispering got all too clear I could see the lady with long brown hair Talking to me and she's very much there Saying 'what do you think of such and such' Response 'I think, I like it very much' Now if I'm on the outside looking in Exactly who resides within the skin A ghost or hallucinogenic state Would a ghost mean I face an iffy fate I settle myself down, forget concerns It is not me and a muse taking turns It was just my mind playing late night tricks So my mind absolutely needs no fix I got straight out of bed, woke up the dog He's not picked up on ghostly dialogue It's just innate drivers handling the show These drivers produce otherworldly flow Nothing much is being offered up now Perhaps all me, 'prompted' to take a bow Rhymezone Howmanysyllables: 10 per line Rhyming couplets aa,bb,cc,dd,ee,ff,gg,hh,ii Last two lines of each stanza have a repeating word, which overall conveys the message of poem summarised: whispering, think, ghost, mind, drivers
