Loving Contemplation

'Whatever love means' says a future king long ago and it makes me think How harsh those words were but tinged with poetic beauty that stirs my soul To contemplate the question The journey of requited love How liking what you see about yourself Through anothers eyes Draws you to them and them to you Into an immersive loving embrace When your heart soars Because you are seen and heard Can that person be anyone? I think not, it's chemical, it's viseral It's felt by your body's reaction Not to be confused with lust Which dissipates quickly And can be replaced with distaste Requited love is a self renewing Longing from within Whatever love means... Not all love can be defined Acceptance of self through connection Reciprocate - to feel in return I get you Charles

God save the King eh, glad you were tinged. I think love is...definitely a chemical reaction. When you look back, do you miss your love or miss yourself (as energy) used in love? It takes lots of energy, perhaps another definition. You're a wizard of poetry, Miss DD, shine on!

Thanks Anaya - I think the energy and space inhabited when feeling love is quite beautiful. Thank you for your kind words x
