La French Wench
"Whoever you are -- I have always depended on the kindness of strangers."

Ladies and Gentlemen Callers!
Tonight for your listening pleasure --
Madame Goddam!
"Jazz Street"
Before you leave New Orlins see Belle Rive
beyond the outskirts of the city heat
Hop any streetcar's hot jazz up its sleeve
and jump off when you feel it skip a beat --
With your addiction hard for somethin' sweet
a scent of parlor flowers is your guide
along a narrow trail of muddied feet
up leadin' to that big bad bloodied slide --
If ain't a body ever to you lied
skip on ahead with all them many few
to where a thing there lyin' on its side
your mama and your daddy always knew --
And when that clock of yours won't wheel on back --
beg that ol' thing not on your -- cut -- throat -- snack

a revolving helios sonnet spenserian satire menippean on
the kindness of strangers

yet a product not able to be
