Inhuman Vampires

-- a curt court fool
on that which matters

They die in Pain
batting mosquitoes untold
sticking to birthday suits
sweating
these twilights hot of childhood
which bite --
and then wait.
* * *
a dedication of Respect
for
countless children in Pain
Dying
slow
of malaria
a revolving helios free verse menippean satire on
vampire fiction
march, 2023 -- yet still on the increase
throughout the tropics
childhood deaths
