On this side of the rainbow where in spite of lullabies
a human child in pain still each five seconds slowly dies
as daily in the wilderness nonhuman beings thrive
by killing countless baby beasts on eating them alive,
conceivably the Wiz is not a bumpkin or a boor --
although his skills in wizardry seem somewhat less than poor.
