Listen to poem:
Right foot snaps in place ushering a new perspective,
tremor within the ankle.
This electric energy drives up the knee,
the unknown.
Piercing eyes has no finish, whispers in the trees.
"Who have they sent after?" "Do you see the flow?"
"Be quiet!"
The left cracks, pressure placed on the blinds,
"I hear the bells!", "Gather up the women and children!"
...can that be said anymore? The gut echoes.
"Take the most vulnerable to the back"
No harm will be caused,
you can cut the tension with a knife,
mans sweaty palms.
"Where is the trust out there in the dark?"
One hopes it's within this scene
when comrades pace up and down
splinters and torn,
ashes in the grooves of one's soles.
"It's time" ....it is most definitely time!
47 seconds in fact, shouting
"Can one see?!"
Left hand open right fist clenched
drop of red smeared on wood.
The inevitable knock at the door,
hate twofold,
I have no identity.
