“ I leave you the best of myself.”
From a movie by Antoine Fugua
No! No trophy, but my deep, inner thoughts.
And tales of a sparkling family, that cannot
be bought.
Never famous, that I surely have no hopes to be.
However, of being fully human, I am truly and
joyfully, guilty.
I don’t participate in poetry as the Olympic Games.
Please recall just a few,as a painting within a lovely
gilded frame.
My poems, please, do not baptize them as good advice.
Honesty and gleeful integrity, please, let these qualities suffice.
We are unaware…….if this very day, might be our last.
Pen then, with truth and beauty and to all God’s Commandments,
hold these fast.
