I Can Top That

Listen to poem:
I actually knew this turd - he was unbelievable (obviously) - BTW - this is another fairly tricky exercise in metered-rhyme - There’s this guy I know who loves to top the stories that he hears with others …which I’m certain he contends - makes him out to be, I guess, a…“story telling guru”…and after every pile of poo-poo ends, it actually gives me gas to hear the twisted explanations for what he so indignantly defends! Even if you offer him a chance to tame it down…admit he’s stretched the truth, and make amends… all he’ll do is pour it on! I swear - the only thing the moving of this wiener’s lips portends - is hearing still another lie - on which, of course, he thinks his chance for your believing him depends! What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive’s a saying that I feel adeptly lends just the type of good advice my buddy needs to hear the next time he so blatantly offends any fool with half a brain, by spewing out his bull with one of his…“He’s doing it again-s!” Someone needs to tell him that he’s fooling almost no one with all his lies and all the truths he bends. He only sounds ridiculous, and doesn’t seem to realize the disconcerting message that it sends, But I could never do it, ‘cause I know he’d blow his top. Besides...the jerk is - one of my best friends! PS: I've now got 4 new Audio-CDs - @ 4 1/2 hours each = (62 diversely varied pieces).
