Drips drop, it's the way of things You can try and be too clever Contain it, protect yourself But it's better to be rained upon It's all so beautiful before it's shaken A perfect balance It's the chaos of the set up of your own design Self sabotage Maybe we should invert all things Sail away with just a magnifying glass Barriers can become taut And bat wings don't always equal heroes ...what?! Oh I'm a bit tired Would a 'kablammo' work here? Is the whole thing like a bucket balanced on a door? Did anyone get £500 for the clip? Slow and steady perhaps Your logic may still outwit mine Especially since I've compartmentalised everything Then just sit still hoping for no windy days

Dear DD, I think I was captured first by the title with Hegle, who is a great philosopher. Then I felt your passion with your words, showing the complexities of life and human nature, oscillating between a desire for control and an acceptance of chaos. You inked some wonderful humor blended in and what a playful, almost frustrated search for meaning and order amidst the unpredictability of existence. Anything philosophical, I am there!- Blessings, My Dear Friend Daniel

Thank you Daniel - I feel pleased with myself now :) I was aware that this was Magritte being humourous about form, function and contradiction - so allowed that to be the basis. I'm pleased you enjoyed it - there are usually lessons (and humour) to be extracted from surrealism, which is what makes it a joy. Thanks again :)

Mind boggling Dilly, but it could make a great gimmick, to put one of those double skinned glasses with trapped water inside atop a brolly and go for a walk in the sunshine. No! your interpretation is much more creative with inverted superheroes like the Batman, trying out a Kablammo to wake you up, whilst pondering the possibilities on insane concepts of self sabotage, this one certainly has an absurd yet very entertaining personality, cheers David

Thanks David, I feel I've lost a bit of inspiration lately, so wrote this just to keep the writing door ajar. I appreciate your comment as always - I understand why people get concerned about missing muses now. I suppose it's a bit like my comment on your poem yesterday - the minute we try and hold something too tightly (poetry writing) it can become difficult. I'll try and loosen up a bit
