Goodbyes Are Final

one cannot love one sided love is dependent, vulnerable like the fragility of a child my child 18 years gone call you an adult? not in my house it was like yesterday I used to be able to hold you in my arms kiss your bruises away scare the monster under your bed but you're too grown for that now grown-up a grown-up independent a woman empowered as you should b but you're leaving me Not alone, but you're leaving us behind Your dad and I your mother Mummy Mama Me one cannot love one sided love is dependent, vulnerable like the fragility of a child but you are no longer a child love will overcome all our love overall and all these memories, reminiscing retrospective to your perspective your past, your inner child shaped who u have become today who you will be tomorrow and the love I have for u will never change still remains You walk independently now but u will never be alone cannot say goodbye too final until we meet again like tht song you used to sing aloha oe ah, my Disney princess ohana = family no one left behind or forgotten my child, walk on I will always follow like u used to ur feet in mine now mine in urs walk on

And so a child becomes an adult. It happens. Memories of holding in arms - but, then, hey!, the kid is a grown-up. I've enjoyed this poem, Naleli.
