You'll probably get all you want this winter, Michelle. Some years we don't get any in Texas. A lot of ice storms though. Thanks for the visits and comments, my friend. Bill

Ah what a beautiful picture to go with your haiku. I personally believe your wife is the best for haiku and i can see when you live with someone for so long and they say you become like those who you have around so that shows from this haiku: its beautiful and also has a rhythm. Especially opening. And also the last line. Animals find shelter in cozier places during winter, even birds and you’ve highlighted that so eloquently.Very well articulated and delivered. Pleasure reading this. FAVE

I agree, Sara, is the Haiku Queen. :-) Long live the Queen. Thanks for the kind and friendly comments, my dear friend, and thank you for the FAV. Icing on the cake, so to speak. May you find light upon your path and Love along the way. Bill

Such a great Haiku, Bill. You have done an excellent job of explaining the rationale behind animals leaving the mountains during the winter season in a few brief words. Very impressive.

Yep, and the dangers are the same when the temperatures drop below freezing, Miranda. Thanks for the visit and the comments, my friend. Have a great weekend! Bill
