Farewell

It’s been a while But I’ve been here before The winding road that Wants to show me something more It takes me down the scenic route It wraps around the wildflowers The looming willows Desert mountains and the Breathing ocean shore Up mountains to see what’s not been seen, Each crevice I touch from pole to pole I explore where no one’s ever been Every inch of every back road in your soul I know that Here is not where I belong I knew at once when I arrived What would happen if I stayed too long I will miss the Winds that made me laugh The valleys that made me cry The desert sun That made me love And the man that said goodbye

This is beautiful and expressive, Dana, especially the ending. Luckily you are not taken in by what you hear and see...you have been there before! ~ Regards // paul
