Fantastic Four

I've never read a comic Well surely that can't be true I've never read a comic So I haven't got a clue I do like comic art I have friends who go to Comic Con Is this enough to equip me? I'm quick, I'll be able to catch on The Fantastic Four are amazing But I'm thinking of the wrong one Chocolate, cheese, crisps and cake Oh no what have I done! Astronauts - cosmic radiation! Exposed but survived and gained powers It seems there's a longer version Same facts but the telling takes hours Comics are clearly wasted on me I like alternating drinking beer and tea Chatting nonsense, acting carefree And about 45 minutes of daily TV

I never got hooked on comics, but the closing verse of your poem makes me think, you be tripping girl ... on comics. :-) Fun poetry today DD. Thanks for a little variety. Have a great day! Bill P.S. Haha I wrote the condiment poems without a promp but not the fantastic four. The contest got removed after I submitted this - I'll have to be more careful with my attempts at humour!

This made me smile! Love it. Especially “ The Fantastic Four are amazing But I'm thinking of the wrong one Chocolate, cheese, crisps and cake “ haha i can resonate too. Growing up i used to read archies and calvin and hobbes but that wont be considered as reading comics would it? I love poems like this that makes me smile. Hah! Well done. Now we have one take for this contest. I hope this will inspire more to write. I need to do some research as my memory is too bad on names of books etc.BOL

Thank you Ink - I did read the Beano and Dandy if I saw them lying around actually and the comic strip in the paper Hagar the Horrible - never serious comic stuff though and I know nothing beyond the Hulk and Spiderman, perhaps Batman... But all from TV. I just find it all too fact driven and too much back story - my head is already full haha thanks for your comment and good luck if you enter x

Yep cartoons absolutely - the real me likes Scrappy Doo, deal with it! Haha :)
