F the Beauty Standard
different chocolates, mixes, spices
we all come in different sizes
society puppeteered our strings and lied
thought it was up to them to decide
not realising it caused suicide
cause beauty is now so standardised
and we only see wht they want us to see
what they want US to believe
labels, barcodes, identity + insecurity
I tell myself "I'm fine" but I'm never happy being me
they locked the door and I lost the key
to finding out who I truly want to be
sheep or goat?( 25:31-46)
neither truly free
they taught me ABC's to control my destiny
sometimes I question my reality
escape to distant fantasies
to run away from the chains of society.
