Expectations
What to Expect
I wished on a star
And I wished for hope
See, it's not all about the gold
You meet someone
And you think my life is complete
Yeah, maybe it is
But maybe theirs is not
And maybe, just maybe
You were meant to start all over again
Expectations
I will find him
The true believer
Someone who believes in me
Yeah, maybe you will
You just might
But that ain't where it all ends
Life is tough
And it will get rough
But holding on makes it stop
No matter how deep you might go
Or maybe you feel you're suffocating
And you can't breath
Just hold on my dear
Life is sweet
You meet people over and over again
You always meet new acquaintances
You always admire anew
And your wishes aren't always the same
You might wish to die today
But tomorrow you might wish it all away
I know you don't feel this
But we do
We hear you
And we are here for you
Just mere strangers
Going through the same thing
Why don't you just open up to us
Breath afresh for once
Don't count it all on expectations
We don't expect to see your clues
Not if it's life and death
Let's be frank life is beautiful
So it's not expected that you be regretful
Dutiful, bountiful
All life in abundance
We're privileged
And hope you enjoy it with us
After all we're strangers on the same road
Why not unite to defend abroad?...
We are one, aren't we?
You need me and I need you
And this road is our journey
Wouldn't want loneliness to devour us
Because of our pride
Let your guard down
'Cause i need to borrow your lighter
To make fire for the night
And if you would join me
We could sing songs of the bird
For tonight Heaven is watching over us
And I shall end this with
The Lord's prayer
For the Lord is merciful
