Everyone Needs Someone, Sometime

Taunted by luxury, a life of ease. I struggled to utter the words, “sir, please”? I’d become distraught by my circumstance. I saw no way alone; I could advance. I knew the time in my life had now come, To lose my ego, ask help from someone. With all my money, I’d still have to ask, Or accept my failure at this one task. With money and self my only allies, Having no solution was a surprise. Sometimes our dreams may require another, Like a friend, stranger, sister, or brother. With my deepest desire, I long to teach. Without another, it’s out of my reach.

One of the hardest things to do...sometimes...is ask for help. Is the reluctance out of a sense of pride or...failure...? So fortunate are we who do have people in our lives we can turn to in troubled times. And hopefully we'll also be there when/if someone should need us. A great piece, Bill.

We humans need others at times in life and to varying degrees… some more than others. Asking for help doesn't come easy for some with riches or not….pride….but thats another poem right there for you Bill haha!! Enjoyed….Debx

The Situation

Money is one thing but love is another. Robin williams comes to mind surely he had no money problems but commited suicide. I love him, we all did, Look around your loved. and if arms are what you need , adopt them and hug them.

Man cannot live in isolation. He needs help from others to live and grow. However rich one may be, a person has to receive help from another. This need for interdependance is more for human beings than for most other species of life. From infancy to old age, till one dies, he has to depend on others! This truth is beautifully and powerfully expounded in your poem.

I used to think I could do anything I put my mind too, and thought I'd just do it myself when others tried to help and didn't do things up to the standards I wanted; but then God set me straight and taught me that it's not always about me and how I want things done, sometimes it to allow others to feel the joy of helping. I'm more sensitive now and try to let others help me if they want to. I'd rather do something together than by myself. It's nice to help and be helped. Have a pleasant week! Bill

A brilliant sonnet, loving the cadence of your word weaving here. Sometimes evn with all the money etc, we might need to ask for help, and its not easy for some to ask for help as they were taught from a very tender age, not to ask, but to accept , and figure things on their own.having to ask others can be challenging for some, but with time and practice and courage, we can, as like you’ve said everyone deserves and needs someone at some point, a friend,sibling etc. Such profound wisdom depicted
