Element-ary Love

A tragic love story, an epic fail, Of one element, Water, her desires curtail.
She loved the fire, he loved her too, but loving afar, was all they could do.

Water, shedding tears, ran in hues of blue, begging, just one kiss, Fire wanted it too!
So, Fire arranged a meeting of sorts, Wind and Earth, his willing cohorts.

They would meet in the spot where at first they had met, he would then
kiss her, a moment, they'd never forget.

Water, was kneeling when Fire arrived, she'd been summoned by Air, in a Fiery disguise.
Fire knelt a few feet away, he smiled, and whispered, this Is the day.

I will give you that one thing, a moment of bliss, he leaned over and gave her a fiery kiss. Water, abated, she opened her eyes, Fire was gone, he had met his demise.

He knew in order to fulfill his loves desire, it would be at the cost of extinguishing his fire.
When Water realized, her true loves sacrifice, she whispered his name, and she then
turned to ice
