Life is very easy going It has no preferences No expectations for how things should be It accepts all of our weird opinions Our beliefs and traditions Our wars and greed And odd ways of doing things Humans are the opposite We are not easy going We all have preferences Very specific expectations for the world How we think things should be How people should act How leaders should lead How systems should be organized We are certain and confident in our answers for these things We are quick to comment on things we know so little about But life accepts our goofy behavior and irrational thoughts So we go on thinking that our limited perspective is wise That we know what’s best What would happen if we shifted our energy for worldly expectations Unto ourselves

Words of wisdom dear Sara and a poem a bit different to your normal style.. I really like it, I have been trying different styles recently.. I have to be honest i do not have worldly expectations, just to rest forever in my beloved's arms...

thanks for your visit, Silent One, and for your thoughtful words. Occasionally I just let my writing flow as I did in this case, hence, the different style. Your words about your beloved's arms touched me. You're an unusual person (in a positive way), and I'm grateful our poetic paths crossed. have a splendid evening, Sara

- You are so right, Sara ... described exactly as it is - "We are quick to comment on things we know so little about" ... we are experts in this field :) - hugs

Life has no expectations of us, but others do, and they're not always easy to meet. What matters most is that we don't expect too much of ourselves or life will be stressful. I think it's all about the "A" word... attitude. Ya know, like making lemonade when the world seems a bit too sour, and we have to find a source of sweetener to make it a titch more bearable. We are only responsible for ourselves. Great outlook, Sara.

True the truth is nobody tries or wants to work on themselves, their expectations of what everyone else should be, maybe they should try implementing that on themselves. And everyones truth is how they perceives things, sometimes makes me wonder what really is true? What really is real? And why do we assume we know it all? Im always learning, and ready to accept individual differences too. The depth and profoundness of this poem is brilliant. I absolutely loved reading this, thank you for this.

thank you for your early morning visit, dear Ink. I share your sentiments and, like you, question what is truth? What is real? Does seem like everyone's truth and reality is different based upon upbringing, culture, and how they see the world. Therein lies conflict. Like you, I am at least tolerant and try to accept individual differences. Thanks for your kindness. Have a splendid day, hugs, Sara
