I'm pretty much the same, Paul. I think God has blessed a few through me has I passed through this world, so I take that as a win. To love and be loved ... I been fortunate enough to have experienced both, my friend. Have a great week! Bill

Woah, this monoku speaks so much, within such few words.. You've conveyed immense depth within "dust to dust".. We are all cosmic ashes, born to flow and then fade one day.. In the slipping sands of time.. This one evokes many intriguing and thought-provoking feelings.. Brilliant!

How powerful can one line be? Such as this monoku! I cant help but be in awe, as its soul stirring and so profound, and you’ve delivered a reminder and opinion in such a flawless manner. Yes, whatver life may be, or anything be, everything comes to an end, eventually. Loved reading this.

Ah but the paradox is Bill, will one be aware it’s ended, for if one does not have any experiences after death, then how will one know it happened, see the things that keep me awake at night, great Monoku, cheers David

One thing for sure when we are born, we are destined to face death at some point in our lives. Thanks for sharing this very real thought with us and for your visit to my page. In Atlanta yesterday morning, five teenagers lost their lives while three people survived and are in hospital. We never know when death will knock at our door. Sara

Hi Bill two things that are certain in life are death and taxes - dust to dust, ones life over in a flash - my dad died at home. before he got sick with bronchial cancer he weighed 98 kilos and we weighed him a few days before he died, he weighed 42 kilos and passed at the age of 66 - he broke our hearts especially my sons, i was divorced ,and lived with my parents they lived for each other, my dad and my son. Hugs and blessings dear friend you explain death and its finality perfectly. Jen

Thanks for the comment, Jen. My dad passed at 56, and it was devastating to my mom and the rest of our family. We just don't know when it's coming, especially when it comes early in one's life. Peace be with you, my dear friend. Bill

Ah, the end that awaits us all. Till then we write poems and dance a bit when the oldies are played. Good internal rhyme in your Monoku, Bill. Be well. Brian
