I saw a shrieking murder of crows on my walk. So quickly captured the moment and then wrote it up as a poem for Brian Strands 5 line max contest.

Listen to poem:
They did not murder me, yet shrieked as if I lay dead. Stopping in my tracks, I stared - momentarily gathered together. The inconsequential bystander.

A murder of crows flying over my grave, shrieking as the worms feast.

I like goths, they have class. Think you're right though, I've never met one in the gym.

Seems strange to picture this scene then buy myself a new little water carafe to stay hydrated with a cute glass ensemble. Glimpse reality and back right up into (cloud) cuckoo land :) although I also own a lot of goth outfits and have put way more effort and time into that scene than health and fitness :)

Dear DD, Is that the actual sound of what you heard, whoa, sounds intense, i get scared when i see those and hear them shriek, as if its a sign of something dark ... ah your photography skills here are on point! Love it! The mood it sets and the poem is brilliant! The first two lines, are so creative and made me smile cus they so shriek as if we lay dead! How clever! Now im inspired to do brians contest! Youv definitely nailed this one! So fun! And unique approach! Best wishes always!

Yes I decided I may as well record the sound (although I rustled my coat on the clip I think haha I was carrying a scooter at the time). They all flew into the air a couple of times but just couldn't catch it and the trees were between two houses, so it felt a matter of time before the owners questioned what I was doing lol. I wrote something so bland for the contest yesterday that I felt I needed to do better. (Didn't post attempt 1) :) thanks for your supportive words
