Choices

We fell in love and married young, others said we couldn’t know. Who else could truly know my heart, or which way I should go? We all must choose the path to walk, and how we’ll live each day. It makes no difference the choice we make, if we take God along our way. All our challenges will be lessons learned, he can make it a perfect day. Others may snicker and laugh at us, it doesn’t matter what they may say. God teaches us through every test, and after struggles he gives us rest.

Love this:) My husband and I have been married for almost 45 years, married three weeks after our high school graduation! They said it wouldn't last ;) God has certainly been with us through richer, poorer, sickness, health, better, worse...better and better.... He is a good, good Father leading us along the paths :) I'm faving this poem!

Thank you, BJ for sharing your thoughts on love and marriage. Two shall become one if they allow it to grow and mature. It's not what happens to us in life that brings success; it's how we accept and adapt to life events.

Some are beaten by the challenges and struggles; others are blessed and grow through them. Thanks for reading and commenting on so many of my poems, Caren. May your day be filled with the joy of adventure, Bill

an uplifting poem filled with truth. I especially like the last two lines of the 2d stanza. Likewise, I'm coming to understand that struggles are part of life. I can either focus on them and let them get the best of me or learn from them and move on.

Yes, we have to make our own choice. It may be right or wrong. But if we take God along, He will smoothen our path however bumpy it may be.... ! Thank you Bill for sharing this uplifting poem.
