Butterfly Beginnings
There was a little Caterpillar,
scampering up a Leaf,
chewing with contentment,
eating with relief
Relieved to be upon the Leaf,
not grasped between the beak,
of a flurrysome of sparrows,
living in the creek
Chewing, Chomping, having fun,
getting bigger every day,
towards the day a butterfly emerged,
and gently flew away!
