Listen to poem:
A stranger's haunting gaze
I noticed their eyes question my presence
They ruminate
I'll show them my wave
Where have I taken me?
Thoughts upon another within an uncomfortable procedure
Breaking through the once normal to achieving the better
Can it be possible, I do wonder
In the baggage unknowing of others, fleeting glimmers,
Releasing to forget forever for a brighter replacement
Beaten into the ground, scars to show, odds of letting go I do ponder
For the appreciation from another
Can then we find our worth together?
Or am I getting led "down the garden path"?
Poring over the stars to a delusional future
Far too long from "want", is this lust?
Can I rise above my imperfections to enhance my persisting strength
Felt from afar within another's affinity?
Can it continue?
Truth will show eventually
The stranger's contemplation from being uncertain in other's intentions
From what has been truly felt within
...Do we now have a connection?
Stay away from my darkness!
I would never wish this upon another
As the stranger walks away
To another's black mirror
