A stranger's haunting gaze I noticed their eyes question my presence They ruminate I'll show them my wave Where have I taken me? Thoughts upon another within an uncomfortable procedure Breaking through the once normal to achieving the better Can it be possible, I do wonder In the baggage unknowing of others, fleeting glimmers, Releasing to forget forever for a brighter replacement Beaten into the ground, scars to show, odds of letting go I do ponder For the appreciation from another Can then we find our worth together? Or am I getting led "down the garden path"? Poring over the stars to a delusional future Far too long from "want", is this lust? Can I rise above my imperfections to enhance my persisting strength Felt from afar within another's affinity? Can it continue?
