Chilly breeze Rustling the trees Ominous feeling in the air Turn back, or beware Silent ringing in my ear Quickly rising my fear Every year on this day I celebrate anyway My cowardice is suppressed This I confess To live in the moment This is my element Concentrating on Decorating, Riding around town, Ghosts, skeletons, and clowns Haunted house, With my spouse Halloween parties, I won’t be tardy Costumes galore, Going door to door Trick-R-treating, With every greeting Horror movie nights, Giving me a fright The best time of the year Don’t interfere Something I look forward to And always overdue
