This morning, I discovered a small trail leading off one of the main trails that I frequently walk. I shielded my eyes and looked deep into the woods but wasn’t able to see the direction of the trail. I listened closely and heard the giggling water of a nearby brook. The trees gentle rustled beckoning me, “Embrace the moment. Follow the trail. Follow it wherever it might lead.”
I stepped forward and meandered my way down the small trail. A rug of golden-browns and a shelter of extended limbs resting beneath foliage hues greeted me. I sat down on a tree stump, closed my eyes, and listened as the peaceful water brought tranquility to my soul.
Life flows like a stream,
Ever-changing, never still,
Embrace each moment.
