Autumn Path
Two trails meeting
in lush forest shadows.
Similar paths
Our journeys long.
You weary of physical
and emotional
pain.
I the same.
Eyes locked in gaze,
knowing each
of the other's
torment.
We grin
breathe in
the second wind.
Renewed thrill
of sweet possibility.
Our trails have merged.
Take my Hand,
kindred soul.
A new direction
we will travel
together
along one
Autumn path.
