Another October Surprise

In this harsh Autumn, bomb and rocket flares blaze the sky like so many mobile lanterns entertaining the eyes. The sky, the sky, temple of time, the quiet ceiling scratched again, like a diamond of imperceptible purity, surrounded by frightful eyes, gilded by the setting sun. At its feet are piles of corpses of women, children, young girls and boys, the latest rolls of victims of an unfolding tragedy. Their executions are blessed by the barrels of guns, gunning down conscience. October surprise in this holy land is now a fresh appetite for flesh of children. Alas, this war is not born by intelligence failure, only humanity's failure.
