AIR
A silent, vast, unseen display,
Across the planet it does stray,
No earthly hand can make it stay,
It moves the clouds in cloudy gray,
A crucial breath for every day.
My whispered worries tumble deep,
Secrets the airy currents keep,
As silent promises I weep,
While peaceful slumber starts to creep,
The lightest touch before I sleep.
A distant rumble, hollow tone,
Through empty spaces it is known,
A restless spirit, wind-swept, lone,
Upon the currents softly sown,
A boundless freedom it has grown.
The fading sunlight, soft and bright,
Embraces wings in gentle flight,
An unseen current through the night,
Guiding the stars with softest light,
Lost in its endless, quiet might.
