Afghanistan Trauma

Incomprehensible trauma and pain, Watching the news and shaking my head, I don't understand what is going on there, I don't understand why the trouble and lack of care, Those poor people must be so afraid, Those children must have so much fear, How can we help, How do we welcome such pain, How do we say it will be alright, I am sorry your country has to fight, The language barrier, They don't know who we are, From their home they are now very far, Praying for them all, What about the ones left behind, Wanting them to find people who are kind, I'm so sorry it's all happening Hoping your new chapter will begin, We are different for sure, We have a different way, But welcome to our country,I hope you can stay.
