A Writer's Journey
On a lovely day
Waiting till sunrise
I took a journey
I thought of him
And i thought of the family
Happiness and joy is what they bring to me
I walked a bit
And thought of a treat
What else could go wrong
If I took a wandering trip
I took a mile hike and ended up climbing mountains
I wandered in the past and found a secret cave
I looked beyond an ocean and a bird flew high from a distance
I saw the difference and displayed an Emotion
An emotion still unknown to me
Up the mountains were people like me but different
Down in the cave was a memory stuck and locked in a cage
But beyond the ocean was where I wanted to be
Out there feeling free and being me
I want to write pages away of this day
The very day I discovered of my delay
I can't wait to share all I know
From sipping tea to feeling low
And I can't wait to tell him what I've seen
Who I am and where I've been
Some of the stories I never told
And here I am where the bird is
Feeling whole with him beside me
And lucky to be here with family
I didn't lose them all
Prayer granted me my very wish
I found a way to get here with less delay
My fear was conquered finally
