A Groggy Tale
A GROGGY TALE
We put the toad aside with the frog (9)
Then gave them each a tankard of grog (9)
Placed bets on the forecast (6)
Who would be standing last (6)
Before landing butt up in the peat bog (10)
"It didn't quite make the grade for a Limerick, but; who cares, the toad won" . . .
"Now, maybe if I took the butt out" . . .
Indiana Shaw . . . ; )
"Last line added after a night to think about it" . . .
"Before falling off its wooden log" . . .
That should keep the poet peeps happy" . . . : )
