A Floral Queen

A velvet blush, a crimson sigh, The rose unfolds beneath the sky. A whispered promise, soft and deep, Where secrets sleep and shadows creep. Petals unfurl, a silken grace, A fragrant breath in time and space. From thorny stem, a beauty born, A floral dawn on dewy morn. Each layered fold, a tender plea, Of love's sweet hold, eternally. A fragile heart in bloom so bright, That conquers dark with pure, soft light. But beauty fades as moments flee, The petals shade a memory. Yet in the dust, a scent remains, Of whispered trust and gentle rains. A symbol old of passion's fire, And dreams untold and deep desire. The rose, a queen in garden's reign, Where joy has been and may again. ©bfa031425
