A Chemical Imbalance
I wait,
And wait,
And wait,
And wait,
But nothing.
No call,
No text,
Just silence.
“What’s the point?”
I question.
Every month
It’s the same
A reoccurring
Self-sabotage
Thought’s race
He doesn’t love you
He doesn’t care
He’s living his life
Out on the town
Forgetting about me
The one who
Takes care of the home,
His children,
And any other issue.
I’m old news
If the relationship were new
More attention would be bestowed
Why do I allow this to occur?
Hands clench scalp
Gripping with eyes shut
It’s all false
He truly cares, but
My thinking is skewed by
A chemical imbalance
Make this negative
Logic go away!
