You Can't Make Me

You can't make me You can't make me bad You can't make me broken Sadness just an illusion A mind a mass of sparking wires Find it jumps to wrong conclusion You make me happy Causality creates a cadence As feeling fixed follows you Though the sudden drop off Is entirely mine to own I'm inexplicably mended by your music You can't make me I offer myself

ultimately, no one can make us do anything, well, perhaps the tax collectors. I liked 'a mass of sparking wires...jumps to wrong conclusion. My mind does that sometimes too. Enjoy your weekend, Sara

I'm not made to do anything, but I do catch myself using the expression of 'you made me...' this is an effort to recognise myself that I should not wash along picking up emotions and declare I can determine a sense of well-being for myself. Thank you for your kind words

Awesomely gothic, I picture you in a classic black Victorian dress and veil, most likely music The Smiths. ~

Haha I'm wearing a dressing gown with hearts on and have a dog on my knee - although I own the correct ensemble of clothing - well not sure I have the veil :) nice to hear it conjures something interesting. I kept thinking of the petulant line of 'you can't make me' when I was driving this morning and wanted to do something with it
